Peer Review Policy
AL-BAHTS follows a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, validity, and integrity of the research articles we publish. Our peer review policy aims to provide authors with constructive feedback and maintain the highest standards of academic excellence.
1. Double-Blind Peer Review Process
- All manuscripts submitted to AL-BAHTS undergo a double-blind peer review process, where the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are concealed to ensure unbiased evaluations.
- The editorial team assigns the submitted manuscript to qualified reviewers who possess expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their research experience and expertise in the subject matter of the manuscript.
2. Reviewer Selection
- Reviewers are chosen carefully to ensure impartial and expert evaluations of the manuscript.
- The selection of reviewers is based on their qualifications, experience, and expertise relevant to the manuscript's topic.
- AL-BAHTS encourages authors to suggest potential reviewers during the submission process, but the final decision rests with the editorial team.
3. Reviewer Responsibilities
- Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, unbiased, and timely feedback on the manuscript's scientific merit, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field.
- Reviewers should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may compromise their objectivity and, if necessary, decline the review assignment.
- The peer review process is confidential, and reviewers should not share or discuss the manuscript with others without explicit permission from the journal.
4. Reviewer Recommendations
- Reviewers are requested to make one of the following recommendations for each manuscript:
- Accept: The manuscript is of high quality and suitable for publication with minor or no revisions.
- Minor revisions: The manuscript requires minor revisions addressing specific points raised by the reviewer.
- Major revisions: The manuscript requires substantial revisions and additional data or analysis before being considered for publication.
- Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal's standards or does not align with the journal's scope.
5. Author Response and Revision
- After receiving the reviewers' comments, the corresponding author is given an opportunity to respond to the reviewers' feedback and revise the manuscript accordingly.
- Authors should address all the reviewers' comments and provide a point-by-point response in a separate document during the revision process.
6. Editorial Decision
- Based on the reviewers' comments and the revised manuscript, the editorial team makes the final decision on acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript.
- The corresponding author will be informed of the editorial decision, and, if accepted, provided with further instructions regarding the production process and payment of any applicable Article Publication Charges (APC).
7. Reviewer Anonymity and Confidentiality
- AL-BAHTS maintains the confidentiality of the peer review process, and the identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors.
- Reviewers are expected to respect the confidentiality of the manuscripts they review and not use the information for personal gain or in any way that may compromise the integrity of the process.
