Efektivitas Pemanfaatan Instagram sebagai Media Promosi Pendidikan

The development of information and communication technology has encouraged educational institutions to utilize social media as an effective promotional medium, one of which is Instagram. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Instagram as an educational promotion medium at MAN 1 Indragiri Hilir. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Instagram is utilized to publish various school activities, student achievements, new student admission information, as well as academic and religious programs. The use of Instagram is considered effective because it expands the reach of information dissemination, increases school visibility, builds a positive image within the community, and facilitates communication with prospective students and parents. However, its effectiveness is influenced by the consistency of account management, the quality of published content, and the level of user interaction. Therefore, Instagram should be managed actively, creatively, and sustainably to optimize educational promotion.
