Author Guidelines

Authors intending to submit manuscripts to AL-AFKAR: Journal of Islamic Education Management should comply with the following requirements:

General Requirements

  • The manuscript must be an original work that has not been previously published or submitted to another journal for consideration.
  • Manuscripts may consist of research articles, conceptual papers, literature reviews, or scholarly works relevant to the journal's focus and scope.
  • Manuscripts may be written in either Indonesian or English.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the content of their submitted manuscripts.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized as follows:

  • Title
  • Author(s) name and affiliation
  • Corresponding author's email address
  • Abstract (Indonesian and English)
  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Research Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgments (optional)
  • References

Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).
  • The article length should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words.
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Line spacing should be 1.5 on A4-sized paper.
  • Margins should follow the journal template.
  • All tables, figures, and charts must be numbered and provided with clear titles.

Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstracts must be provided in both Indonesian and English.
  • The abstract should contain 150–250 words.
  • The abstract should clearly state the research objectives, methods, results, and main conclusions.
  • Provide 3–5 keywords representing the article's main topics.

Citation and References

  • Citations and references must follow the latest edition of the APA (American Psychological Association) style.
  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
  • At least 80% of references should come from primary sources published within the last ten years.

Publication Ethics

  • Authors must uphold academic integrity and avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate publication.
  • All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software.
  • Authors must disclose any funding sources and potential conflicts of interest.

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted through the AL-AFKAR online journal system (OJS). Authors are required to register before submitting their manuscripts. All submissions will undergo editorial evaluation and peer-review processes before a publication decision is made.
