Abstract

Leadership in public educational institutions plays a strategic role in determining the quality of education, the effectiveness of school management, and the successful achievement of educational goals as a whole. This article aims to analyze the concept of humanistic leadership in public educational institutions through the integration of Islamic values and management psychology, identify the urgency of a humanistic approach in educational leadership, and formulate forms of integration that can be applied in school leadership practices. This study uses a literature review method by examining various national books and journals related to Islamic educational leadership, management psychology, and humanistic leadership in the context of public educational institutions. The results of the study indicate that humanistic leadership is an important approach in addressing current educational leadership challenges, particularly in creating a more empathetic, participatory school environment oriented toward human resource development. The integration of Islamic leadership values such as trustworthiness (amanah), justice (‘adl), consultation (shura), compassion (rahmah), and exemplary conduct with management psychology concepts that include work motivation, organizational behavior, as well as communication and emotions in the workplace has been proven to shape a more effective and adaptive leadership pattern. This integration also has a positive impact on increasing teacher motivation, improving the quality of organizational relationships, and creating a more harmonious and conducive school atmosphere. In conclusion, the integration of humanistic leadership based on Islamic values and management psychology is a relevant and strategic approach in developing educational leadership in public schools that is fairer, more empathetic, and more productive. This study is expected to provide both theoretical contributions and practical references for developing a more humanistic and sustainable educational leadership model
