Abstract

The diversity of students in a multicultural educational environment demands leadership capable of effectively managing individual differences to support the creation of a just and quality educational process. This article aims to analyze the role of educational leadership in managing individual differences in a multicultural environment. The research uses a literature review method with a descriptive analytical approach through a review of various relevant scientific journals and academic books. The results of the study synthesis indicate that the success of managing individual differences is determined by the ability of educational leaders to build a school culture that respects diversity, develop policies that are responsive to student needs, strengthen teacher competencies in dealing with diverse characteristics, and integrate the principles of collaboration and equality into school life. The study also shows that a multicultural environment presents challenges in the form of differences in values, diverse learning needs, and limited institutional capacity that require an adaptive and participatory leadership approach. Thus, educational leadership plays a strategic role in managing diversity so that individual differences can become a source of strengthening for the creation of quality and equitable education.
