ISLAMIC FINANCIAL ECOSYSTEM IN INDONESIA IN THE DIGITAL ERA
OPPORTUNITIES, CHALLENGES, AND DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES

The digital era has revolutionized the global financial landscape, including Islamic finance in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the digital Islamic finance ecosystem in Indonesia, covering its components, opportunities, challenges, and development strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were collected from academic literature, reports from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), fatwas from the National Sharia Board-Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI), and related regulations for the period 2020–2026. The type of research is qualitative using descriptive-analytical data analysis. The digitalization of Islamic finance in Indonesia has given rise to various innovations such as sharia peer-to-peer lending fintech, crowdfunding, halal e-wallets, as well as the digitalization of sharia banking. This ecosystem contributes significantly to expanding financial access for MSMEs and the unbanked community. However, the main challenges include regulatory fragmentation, low literacy
