Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

            This study aims to determine to determine the effect of compensation on employee performance at Tembilahan Pratama Hotel in Tembilahan and to find out the factors that influence compensation and employee performance at Pratil Tembilahan Hotel in Tembilahan This study uses 3 variables: 2 (two) independent variables and 1 (one) dependent variable. The independent variable is financial compensation and non-financial compensation and the dependent variable is performance. The population in this study were employees of the Tembilahan Pratama Hotel.               The sampling technique is done by using the census method that is all of the 30 Tembilahan Pratama Hotel employees. The type of data used is quantitative and qualitative data types. Besides the data sources used are secondary and primary data, data collection techniques namely through interviews, submission of questionnaires and literature studies.               From the results of the multiple linear regression equation obtained values ​​are Y = -3,051 + 0.810X1 + 0.288X2. From the coefficient of determination (R2), a value of 0.848 or 84.8% of the compensation variable is influenced by the Performance variable, while the remaining 15.2% is influenced by other variables not examined. The results of the analysis can be seen that the value of t calculated financial compensation is greater than the value of t table. Where the t value of financial compensation is 5,066> t table of 2,042. This means that financial compensation has a partial effect on employee performance at the Tembilahan Pratama Hotel. While non-financial compensation has a value of t arithmetic smaller than the value of t table, namely t arithmetic financial compensation that is 4.066 <t table that is 2.042. This explains that the non-financial compensation variable partially influences the performance of employees at the Tembilahan Pratama Hotel. The results of calculations on the simultaneous test that compensation simultaneously affect the performance where the value obtained is 75.224> f table 3.316 shows that the value means that the compensation variable jointly or simultaneously influences the performance of employees of Tembilahan Pratama Hotel.
