Abstract

The purpose the research to know the effect of task structure and job design to the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat Indragiri Hilir Regency in Tembilahan. Data analysis using multiple linear regression equation. The result of the reseach used linear rergresi equation is Y = 6.623 + 0.677X1 + 0,048X2. Based on the results of partial analysis t test obtained significant numbers for the structure of the task where the value of t arithmetic is 8.263> t table is 2,005, for the job design variable where the value of t arithmetic is 0.629 <t table is 2,005. Test simultaneously obtained significant number of 0.000b <0,05, and value of F arithmet that obtained is 44,441> value of F table that is 3,165. Hence the hypothesis is accepted, it means there is a simultaneous and significant influence between the task structure and job design on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of Indragiri Hilir Regency.
