METODE REGRESI LINIER UNTUK MEMPREDIKSI JUMLAH PENDAFTAR CALON MAHASISWA BARU UNIVERSITAS ISLAM INDRAGIRI

Abstract

Purpose of this research was to help of the prediction amount of new
studentswho will register in the academic year 2019/2020 by using the linear
regression method. Amount of applicants new students of UNISI (Islamic University of
Indragiri) Tembilahan During the last of 6 years,it indicates increasing and decreasing.
This study uses the amount of new students as a result variable and academic year
registration as a causal factor. Data were presented in the form of qualitative and
quantitative data. Based on the results of data analysis using the data of the last 6
years, it was found that the amount of new students was 590,that the number was
obtained based on the linear regression equation Y = a + bX with the results of the
regression equation obtained: Y = 259 + 47,286X.
