SOCIALIZATION OF COVID-19 CONTROL TO COMMUNITIES IN VILLAGES IN THE KAMPAR RIVER FLOW
Abstract
The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been going on for almost two years. Although various efforts have been made by the government in the form of prevention socialization to the community, but based on field observations, the educational activities provided have not been balanced with the active participation of the community in carrying out health protocols and also participation in the Covid vaccination program. The Universitas Riau community service team together with students who carried out real work lectures (kukerta) conducted education and formed Covid care cadres in several Kukerta villages along the Kampar river. The method in implementing this service activity is carried out in 4 (four) stages, namely (1) Socialization, (2) Competency Improvement, (3) Implementation of activities, and (4) Monitoring and Evaluation. Extension activities are assisted by Kukerta students and monitoring is carried out regularly. In addition, visual media in the form of posters and banners are also provided. It is hoped that this display media can facilitate cadres in educating the public about Covid.
