Abstract

Study to improve the growth performance and survival of Sand Goby has been carried out in the Experimental Pond of Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Indragiri. The experimental container used is a 3x2x1 m diameter pond installed with hapa. The study was conducted for 120 days by applying the frequency of feeding treatment 2 times/day (08.00, 16.00 WIB); 3 times/day (08.00, 12.00, 16.00 WIB); and 4 times/day (08.00, 12.00, 16.00, 20.00 WIB) with 3 replications. The feed used was Trash Fish with the proportion of feeding as 30% of the total weight of the test fish in each treatment. The parameters evaluated are the specific growth and survival rate. Data analysis used a completely randomized design (CRD) at 95% significance level. The results showed the best specific growth performance and survival rate was achieved at feeding frequency 2 times/day with specific growth rate of 0.54±0.08%/day and SR values ​​of 94.0±6.0%.
